
We invite you on a fascinating trip to Sulina, Romania's easternmost city and the only place where the Danube flows directly into the Black Sea. With a cosmopolitan past and a special charm, Sulina was once the seat of the European Danube Commission and an important sea harbour, and today it preserves untold stories at every turn.
The route to Sulina is a journey in itself: cross spectacular canals and lakes, stop in the traditional village of Mila 23 for an authentic Lipovenetian meal and finally reach the end of the Danube, where the river meets the sea. A complete experience of nature, culture and history.

Excursion itinerary:
- Departure from Tulcea. The journey starts at 7:00 or 8:00 in the morning, from the Verada Tour pier, Tulcea waterfront. Here you will be met by our team and board the speedboat, ready for the adventure ahead.
- Navigation on the Mile 36 canal. We will travel along the Mila 36 Canal, where you will be able to admire the flora and fauna of the Delta, including various bird species and lush vegetation.
- Transit through the South Sireasa Canal and the Old Shontea Canal. On these scenic canals, you'll see outstanding natural landscapes and capture memorable wildlife.
- Crossing Lakes Nebunu, Băclănești and Fortuna. These lakes offer stunning views and are home to many species of water birds. It's a great opportunity for nature and photography lovers.
- Stop in the village of Mila 23 (optional). In this traditional Lviv village, you can opt for an authentic meal for 80 lei per person. You can also visit the Ivan Patzaichin Memorial House and explore the picturesque village streets.
- Continue on the Old Danube Canal and the Sulina Canal. Sailing on these canals, you will experience the tranquillity and natural beauty of the Delta, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
- Arrival in Sulina. Once in Sulina, you'll have about 3 hours to explore the town. You can visit sights such as the Old Lighthouse, the Palace of the European Danube Commission and the Maritime Cemetery, each with fascinating stories about the town's cosmopolitan past.
- Visit the Wild Beach in Sulina.Don't miss the chance to relax on the fine sandy beach of Sulina, where the Danube meets the Black Sea, offering a unique and soothing landscape.
Return to Tulcea. After a day full of adventures and discoveries, we will return to Tulcea, where we will arrive around 15:00-16:00.
